Committees

The Social Media Committee is responsible for using social media as a means to connect and engage members, grow the membership base, establish QQ as the “go to” women's-only poker education resource. The committee is responsible for managing all content on the QQ Twitter, Instagram & Facebook pages.

The fundraising committee oversees and directs fundraising activities. This committee leads the board's fundraising efforts & works to establish a fundraising plan. This plan may include annual events, auctions, end-of-the-year requests, and other activities. The committee handles donor acknowledgments and ensures cost-effective donor solicitation aligned with raised funds.

The Public Relations Committee will sustain and brand a superior image for Pocket Queens through planned publicity campaigns and PR activities using a wide range of media. The committee will develop PR campaigns and media relations strategies; prepare and distribute press releases; seek opportunities for speakers, sponsorships and advertising; address inquiries from the media and other parties; and track media coverage & follow industry trends.

The Coaching Committee will be comprised of QQ members who will serve as peer coaches, exemplifying why QQ is the “go to” women's-only poker education resource. The committee will create, & update as needed, a curriculum for our "Poker Basics" lessons; which will be hosted on Zoom, establish a list of "go to" members who will serve a peer coaches in different specialties such as Cash/MTTs/Mixed Games; track & create a database of all QQ lessons and categorize them by difficulty level.

The Merchandising & Promotions Committee will design & manage merchandise in keeping with the QQ brand. The committee will determine the products offered to our members and the public; set up a vendor for the production of the merchandise; and set up a shipping to our members.

The Quantitative Analysis Committee will aide in the collection of reliable stats on women participation and performance in poker. The committee will establish a point of contact with poker tour operators to assist us in this mission; create a real time dashboard for Women in Poker during all sorts of global events; and collect, process and share the demographics of these events.

The League committee oversees and directs the "QQ League". This committee runs our members-only online tournaments, both NLHE & Mixed Games; tracks player points for online & live play; and helps facilitate in awards at the end of the year.
